Review by hotel critic

Tucked away in the serene village of Diakofti, Athena Kythera is a gem waiting to be discovered. The spacious apartment I stayed in offered a stunning sea view that truly elevated my experience. The friendly staff, led by Konstantina, were not only welcoming but also provided invaluable insights on exploring the island. The room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, with a well-equipped kitchenette and a comfortable bed ensuring a restful stay. Daily room cleaning and thoughtful amenities like toiletries and laundry facilities added a touch of luxury to the experience. The proximity to the pristine beach and charming tavernas made it an ideal base for relaxation and exploration. While a car is recommended for venturing further afield, the convenience of a nearby mini-market and the warm hospitality of the owners made me feel right at home. Athena Kythera strikes a perfect balance between affordability and comfort, making it a wise choice for those seeking a tranquil retreat on the picturesque island of Kythera.
